Brass Service Descriptions

We organize certain services that we frequently offer into distinct categories. Here is an explanation of the specifics of these bundled services.

P/C (Playing Condition)

The instrument will undergo all necessary repair procedures to restore it to a condition suitable for playing. Depending on the severity and extent of the repair, replacement, or fabrication required, additional work may be recommended or itemized charges may apply. Please note that the finish is not guaranteed to be restored with this service. The charges for this service are calculated at an hourly rate of $69.00.

Job I (Job One)

The instrument will undergo disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, and chemical sterilization. Additionally, all felts and corks will be replaced, slides will be fitted and lubricated, valves will be aligned and lubricated, and the instrument will be reassembled, adjusted, and tested for playability. It is important to note that this service does not cover plating, broken, or missing parts, and the finish is not guaranteed. The cost of the service is based on an hourly rate of $69.00.

add Polish

This is a supplementary service offered in conjunction with Job I, wherein we employ our buffing machine to polish the accessible regions of the instrument, while the remaining areas are meticulously hand-polished.

Job II (Job Two)

The instrument will undergo a disassembly process followed by ultrasonic cleaning and chemical sterilization. Any dents will be eliminated along with the removal of old lacquers. Additionally, tubes and braces will be resoldered, and metal parts will be polished to regain a "LIKE NEW" condition before being lacquered. All felts and corks will be replaced, and slides will be fitted and greased. Valves will be aligned and oiled to ensure optimal performance. The instrument will then be reassembled, adjusted, and thoroughly play tested. Please note that this service does not cover plating, broken, or missing parts. The cost for Job II's is calculated based on an hourly rate of $69.00.

Job III (Job Three)

In Job III, all the aspects covered in Job II are included, with the exception of the lacquer finish. Instead, Job III involves silver plating.

Reachable Dents

Accessible dent removal can be included in any service or selected as a standalone option. This entails our team using our specialized equipment to eliminate as many dents as possible without the need to dismantle the instrument.
